Class Verse: Proverbs 30:25
The Bible says in Proverbs 30:25,”The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer;”
Our Beginner Class includes three, four and five year old boys and girls who are in the “summer” of their youth. These are beginning days or days of innocence. They are, in fact, little people. These precious little people have everything that big people have except on a smaller scale. They are smaller versions of mommy and daddy. They have cute little hands, little eyes, little ears, little mouths, little feet and a priceless little soul. They have not yet developed strong muscles or more important, a strong godly character. These little people with smaller, weaker body parts need to be prepared in their beginning days so that they may grow to be mighty for God.
The purpose behind the class name, The Mighty Ants, is simply,
“The strength of little people is in their preparation.”
Most may think children are just little people and don’t need God yet. This kind of thinking displeases the Lord. Church and Sunday School are vital for little people, this is where the building blocks of Jesus, God and the Bible are taught. Jesus said in Mark 10:14, “Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.”
Our prayer is to help parents prepare their little people now, in the summer of their youth, so that they may receive the strength necessary to face harder years, the days of winter, that are right around the corner.
The ants are not a strong people, yet their meat is prepared in the summer.
Our precious little people are not a strong people, yet they are being prepared in their summer years and it is this preparation that will set them up to succeed for God.
Please pray for The Mighty Ants as we partner with the parents of these little people, to prepare a godly foundation, upon which a strong life for God will be built.
