From the Directors Desk
Well, God is good! Our 1st annual Missions Conference went very well. Dr. Sal and Mrs. Yannizzi were a tremendous blessing to Pastor and Mrs Fulleylove as well as the people of Mays Landing Baptist Church. I was both challenged and convicted to do my very best in all areas of missions through Dr. Yannizzi's preaching on the subject, not to mention his visable testimony in practicing the very principals that he laid out before us concerning missions giving. We are exited to see how God will use us in ministering to our missionaries and those whom they are trying to reach for Chist.
We would also like to inform you that over the remainder of March we will be enguaged in a building project that will have me down from sending or responding to email as my new office is under construction at the church and will be relocated from my home to the new location at the church once the remodeling is completed. I will still be available at my cel#, however, my office # will change once I have settled into the new office and will be noted on the missions page of this website at that time. This will be our 1st office dedicated entirely to missions work. I believe the Lord would also have me to make this office avatlable to visiting
missionaries and guest speakers. With access to the computer and a number of study helps, a kurig coffee maker and available snacks they should have everything they might need to prepare for their speaking enguagment right at their fingertips. Just another small way for us to be a blessng to those who are a blessing to us.
Coming soon to our missions page you can click on "Pic's from our Field" to view photo's from our missions conference. I also plan in the near future to post each message preached at the conference. I look foreward to getting them up soon.
CONGRADULATIONS ! The "gull's" took the "buoy's" to the cleaners 4 to 1 in our Junior Church missions contest. All of the junior girl's who faithfuly attended junior church and participated in the contest will enjoy an all expense paid daytrip (excluding gift shop) to the Cape May Lighthouse and Museum on April 28, 2012. The bus will be leaving sharply at 9:30 am Saturday the 28th.We must be there before 11:00 am to meet with the lighthouse keeper for a scheduled 30 min. history lesson about the lighthouse. Then he will give us a guided tour to the top of the lighthouse after which time we will enjoy lunch on the grounds and the museum.
We look forward to a fun filled day and hope you come with your fun face on! For their participation, I have decided to wave the entrance fee for the boy's to go into the lighthouse. However they will still need to bring the required $5.00 for lunch. You may want to bring money for the gift shop. I might suggest no more than $10.00 per person is addequate.
Finally, we are pleased to announce that the junior church missions conference yielded $317.67 in funds raised by our young people. Bro. Paul De Martino, our Junior Church Preacher, has pledged the balance to bring the total raised to $400.00. These fungs will be evenly divided and sent to two missionary families trying to recover from two separate natural disasters, the earthquake in Haiti and flooding in Thailand. They are the Spalding family in Haiti and the Boyce family in Thailand. Please keep them before the Lord in prayer!
Keep in the WORD ! and keep up the good work junior's !
CONGRADULATIONS Bro. and Mrs. Burton Gates on the arrival of the newest member to the Gates family. Little Amelia Caroline Gates was born on February 14, 2012 weighing in at 6lbs. 13oz. We are blessed to see the work the Lord is doing through the Gates family as missionaries to the Kensington area of Philadelphia, PA. May they continue to be blessed!
